My family and I recently travelled to Stansted airport. I do not like travelling very much (although I love holidays!) I think all of the stress of trying to find out where you should be and when, making sure you have everyone and everything and dealing with delays, tiredness and things like that can be very hard. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy everything was at Stansted airport.

The flight was on time, which always helps things and puts one in a good mood before you start. The family had all slept on the plane (including myself) and so we were all feeling fresh and happy, which again was really good. Then we got off the plane and it was really easy to find our way to baggage reclaim, and all of our bags were together and out almost first. I was so shocked that I missed them the first time around! Then we had to go and find the car hire place. This normally takes ages but it was easy to find, thanks to asking directions from a staff member and the fact that the route was so simple. Sorting out the paperwork seemed to be much quicker than normal, probably thanks to the fact that we were first in the queue. It seemed to be next to no time before we were driving out of the airport car park en route to our hotel. I did wonder if it was luck but we were ‘lucky’ when we returned home too, which was great.

The Saffron Walden Museum is one of the great locations that you should take some time to visit, especially if you have children with you. Located at some nice castle ruins where you can have a picnic or have a nice rest at if you wish. This is certainly a place for everyone as there are artifacts from several places around the world. Everything from mummies, wooly mammoths and much more are available for viewing and your entertainment. The museum is centered on the family atmosphere so there will be a little bit of something for everyone because there will be several exhibits on display. You can spend several hours there if you please, and most people do if they have an interest in the exhibits!
