There are, of course, many reasons not to use a car when you want to get to the airport, yet many of these reasons are based upon preconceptions that may have been relevant a decade ago but are now obsolete. The main fear is that the cost of leaving your car in the airport car park is simply obscene – it is a waste of money when you can spend a lot less and catch a train direct to the airport instead. To say that this gives you the utmost security and the knowledge that you won’t have to rely on navigating the public transport system when you return, most likely tired, from your holiday, it is certainly worth it!

The second main fear is that you will arrive at the car park and drive around for hours searching for a space, which leaves you rushing to check in on time. Yet, this couldn’t be further from the truth. At Stansted there is a large short and long stay car park, meaning that people dropping off others don’t have to overflow into the long stay car park due to lack of spaces. On top of this, there is an online system whereby you can book a car parking space months in advance which will reserve you a space – avoiding the problem even more!
